Thorougly impressed

You made a Drum and bass song and put some Big Beat stuff in there, it's simple, and very effective, the single snare and percussion, one of my favorite matches.

One thing I thought was over cooked was the repetition in some of the patterns. And even though you had to make time, the cut off on the loops kind of threw off the hook that was there, but my favorite part is definitely the beginning. As you sneak into the better part of the song, you should take it easy on the ambience/build up. Too much can choke a song and the funk it has.

Otherwise, damn nice job.

Hmm.

House and Dance ain't my kind of thing, but I can tell a good dance from another, the structure was simple, but the effects made up for it, the melody was predictable, but not in a bad way, when it lapsed I enjoyed it even more.

All in all, it's simple, and well balanced.

Thanks for the review!

Someone has skill...

This is pretty good, you've got some good skills. You use Magix too? Ah, finally, someone to relate to.

I'm into more big beat sounds, so I'm working on that. Hey, between you and me, go to Hammer Sounds, download sf2 soundfonts and use the synthesizers, mainly the ones that make beats and stuff.

Keep it real.

JuggaloJosh responds:

Yeah sweet. Finally somebody else who uses magix well Yeah i'm workin on rappin for stuff like this now

Hmm...

You tried too hard on it, it was a good synth, but I think you did more distortion then bass itself.

Not too shabby, you have a nack for creating killer melodies.

Ah.

Not bad for a transition, I'm a big fan of Big Beat, so I have good senses toward slower songs, the build up with good and the final version should be just as good.

My only criticism is that you completely lose the orchestra somewhere in the song and let everything else do it's stuff.

I could use some help from you, I need some reviews from fellow artists in different genres, maybe you can check out some of my good stuff later.

DJRunaway responds:

:) K... But I "lost the orchestra"? Dude, the orchestra concists of 50 men... They all need a drink once in a while ;)

Greetz,

Ah.

Not bad, expirementing rocks. I've never heard the original, but the quality beats and precision timing piano both make a good duo. I can tell you spent some good time on this.

The drums were overpowered, and a little weak by their audio placement, if it the volume was up on it it could be heard a bit easier.

This is quality, good job.

Hmm...

I can definitely feel the ambient trip hop set up, but it is a little over powering, I can tell you put a lot of construction into this, which is great commitment to a song.

Although, the use of trip hop is a lot more diverse and dense, this is more ambient dub then anything.

Its definitely not too thick, but I do respect an artist who can see the beauty in slower big beat then fast drum 'n bass. Not to say it's bad, but it's good to see something new.

It's better then some of my earlier producings. Keep on Keepin' on.

staticnoise responds:

Awesome!

Yeah, i make some other stuff that i'd really call triphop, with this i more didn't know what genre to call it.

thanks, i'll go check out your stuff.

Well balanced loop.

I can see this being used for menus and screens, energetic and funky.

Thanks for review!
I really didnt make this loop while thinking how to use it in some flash. But maybe it can be used for "menus and screens".

Not bad

I see a future mainstream NG artist. I saw little flaws in the song, some of it was out bassed, and you need to consider playing around with the variety you have a lot more, you'll end up with a fuller song.

Hmm...

The snare was too pounding, it kind of distorted the rest of the song. But it was fluid, repetitive, but unsually fluid. Which is pretty good, at least is went somewhere.

I have a habit of doing it myself, but it doesn't do too good when all of the sounds are exactly the same. The bass kind of sounds like something I used, the style I mean, it's good.

Keep it up, don't be afraid to expirement with a good song. Maybe you can drop me a review sometime.
